The successful candidate will lead the construction defect practice group, providing strategic direction, expertise, and leadership.Duties:Lead and manage the construction defect practice group, overseeing attorneys and support staff.Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow the construction defect practice and expand the firm's client base.Handle complex construction defect litigation matters from inception to resolution.Provide high-level legal advice and counsel to clients, including developers, contractors, subcontractors, and insurance companies.Negotiate settlements, mediate disputes, and represent clients in arbitration, trial, and appellate proceedings.Maintain effective communication with clients, keeping them informed of case developments and strategies.Collaborate with other practice groups within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.Mentor and coach junior attorneys, providing guidance on legal strategy, case management, and professional development.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the State Bar of California.Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing law, focusing on construction defect litigation.Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing a team or practice group.Strong business development skills and a successful history of client retention and acquisition.Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the State Bar of California.Skills:Strong leadership and management abilities.Excellent legal research and writing skills.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Proven track record of successful business development.Ability to mentor and develop junior attorneys.Proficiency in case management and litigation strategy.Benefits:401(k) retirement plan.Contributions to health and dental plans.Subsidized gym membership.Disability coverage.
