Fallout: London is a DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4 created by Team FOLON, a group of game enthusiasts dedicated to creating and re-imagining the world of Fallout 4, and it includes a few early-game weapons that can really give you an advantage. According to Team FOLON, the lower number of guns in Fallout: London is unrelated to the real-world UK gun regulations. Despite this, Team FOLON leans a bit more into haberdashery and hodge-podge, do-it-yourself makeshift and melee weapons, with some of the best weapons in the game leaning more towards the medieval.
Maintaining the base game's post-apocalyptic flair, Team FOLON takes the signature Fallout flavor and extracts it from the hills of the USA, taking players to industrial London instead. Follow Fallout: London's new lore, meet new factions, and find new weapons in this free-to-play mod that is available to play now. With all this new content, it's tricky to know the strongest weapons. If you're unsure what weapons to pick up as you play, here are some of the better ones to choose early on.

Fallout London Mod Gameplay Trailer: 10 Biggest Takeaways
For the first time, the Fallout series is moving outside the United States via an impressive, sprawling Fallout 4 mod called Fallout London.
5 Your Fists
No Guns? No Problems.
After you exit your capsule, much like in the original Fallout 4, no weapons can be found. You're lost, scared, and armed with nothing but your fists, so your fists must do. This isn't the best option, but your fists are all you'll have for a few early encounters. Thankfully, the prologue of this mod is only stocked with low-level mutants, so your trusty hands will be enough to see you through.
Though you don't yet have a firearm, you can collect some ammo for later on as you explore the laboratory.
Not only are the enemies before you gain your first real weapon pretty weak, but you can also run away from fights if you're not sure you can win. Use VATs mode to check your opponents out and decide if the struggle is worth the XP they reward. Keep following the quests' instructions, leading you to your first real weapon.
4 The Balisong
16 Damage Is Nothing To Sneeze At
When you unlock the main quest, "On the Mend," you're going to start finding many more weapons of all types. As you begin exploring London, you'll meet Sebastian Guant, who will give you a Balisong knife that deals 16 damage. He'll give it to you no matter what choices you pick here, so you're free to say what you want.
Its attacks are pretty quick, so if you're not a fan of a slower melee weapon, pick this one for higher SPS (slices per second.) You can also pause fights by opening the Pipboy to swap weapons, so if the Balisong isn't working for you, you can switch it at any time. Either way, a free knife is a free knife, and this one is a pretty good weapon to start with.
3 The Walking Cane
17 Damage
Damage | Speed | Weight |
---|---|---|
10 | Medium | 2 |
Right after you reach the ticket gates at the London Bridge Station, you'll be able to pick up your first true weapon: the Walking Cane. You might as well equip it right away because it deals a hefty 17 damage. This is better than your bare hands and will set you up better for encounters moving forward.
2 The Flare Gun
Not Really A Typical Gun, But Shooting Is Shooting
Damage | Speed | Weight |
---|---|---|
10+110 Radiation | N/A | 2 |
As you follow the main quest, you'll find the Thamesfolk in their hideout underground. As you explore, you'll make your way to the southern entrance of the old tube station. In this station, follow the flooded tunnels until you reach a few tin-can chain alarms, which mark someone's old abode.
Once you complete this step of the main quest, the Thamesfolk will open their store to you. Their wares include firearms, so keep this in mind as you earn tickets and play.
Inside, you'll find a bed and a cooking setup. Check the bedside table for the Flare Gun and a few flares. This unconventional firearm isn't necessarily the best for damage. It fires and reloads pretty quickly, but it gets the job done as one of the first ranged weapons you'll pick up. To see it in action, look at Benjamin's video on YouTube.
1 9mm Pistol
Your First Gun
Damage | Speed | Weight |
---|---|---|
18 | N/A | 3 |
After a tutorial of you and your fists against the world, you can grab (read: steal) your first gun from a store right before you enter the ticket gates leading to the Shard. Exiting the Shard lab, check the first store on the left by the ticket gate. Head behind the counter and pick the novice-level lock on the safe below it to grab the 9mm Pistol and six rounds for it as well.
These six rounds won't last forever, but you should have picked some more up in the lab you just left. Regardless, the lack of ammo is a pretty limiting factor when considering the usefulness of this weapon.
